Planning a vacation that will last a couple of weeks can be very difficult to do. You might have this much time off from work, and you want to choose someplace special. The state of Tennessee has many beautiful cities that you can visit, some of which are extremely well known. There are also smaller communities that have tourist attractions that many people have heard of that you should also try to visit. Here is a quick list of what you might want to consider visiting on your two-week vacation.
Smoky Mountain Outdoors
Even if you have done white-water rafting before, you will never have experienced what is offered at Smoky Mountain Outdoors. This is an attraction that you can participate in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This particular area has a lot of amusement park rides and places that are entertaining. Dollywood is the most notable of all. However, if you want to get wet, travel during the summer and do this white-water rafting experience, it is a great way to spend your time, at least for a day, while you are in Tennessee.
Couple Other Places To Visit
To fill up the rest of your trip, you’re going to have to expand past Pigeon Forge which is near Knoxville. You can travel up from there, spend some time in Knoxville at the many attractions that they have, and then head south to Chattanooga. It is recommended that you spend a couple of days at each location so that you can acclimate to the city, try a couple of the restaurants and also see the markets and theaters that they have available. It allows you to learn more about each location, and then you will be off again, allowing the two weeks to pass by in what will seem like no time at all.
Vacations to Tennessee will often include going to the very popular locations. Dollywood has already been mentioned. Graceland is over by Memphis, and along the way, you can stop in the little towns and cities. You might want to go hiking in the great Smoky Mountains National Park which is something that people love to do. Either way, whether you decide to spend your time in the cities, or go hiking and camping, it is completely up to you. There is so much to do in Tennessee and a two-week vacation will give you the time to have the best experience possible.
